Dear Community,
I wanted to take a moment to provide an update on the progress of this project and share some insights into the development process. I apologise for the delays in releasing new features and meeting certain milestones. Sometimes, it's difficult to predict the timeline accurately, and I find myself moving important features to future releases. However, I've decided to be more transparent about the project's development, implemented features, ideas, and future plans.
Occasionally, life commitments or limitations in the current codebase may impede progress. However, I'm always pleased to see new contributors joining the project. Even small changes have a significant impact, and it's encouraging to receive positive feedback from the community. As you may know, this project is not commercially supported, and I dedicate my spare time to refactoring, improving, and implementing new features because I enjoy the process.
There's currently a problem with the correct handling of TXT records for older versions of PowerDNS. In a previous release, I removed some code that added quotes, which now causes problems. The ideal solution would be to introduce capability mapping based on server version, but for now it remains an idea for future consideration.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone involved in this project. Your support and contributions have been invaluable. The next release is just around the corner and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you soon.
To keep up to date with the latest developments and news, I invite you to subscribe to our updates. I value your feedback and suggestions, so please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding. Let's continue to work together to make this project even better.
